Given the short duration of our camps, we do not offer make-up classes for these camps.
You may schedule up to one make-up lesson. Due to the busy nature of our pools, make-up classes are not guaranteed and are based on availability. Please note, the make-up class must be completed within the session as they do not transfer to new sessions. Private students who would like to make up a missed class will do so in regular group classes.
To book a SWIM make-up class, please give our office a call at 604.874.6464 during the week you are interested in booking in. We schedule make-up classes on a weekly basis to ensure all families have a fair chance of completing the make-up class.

* Exception to the above – To comply with Ontario camp legislation, kids registering for any of our half-day, all-day, or combo camp options in Ontario are required to be age 4 by the first day of camp. If they are turning 4 in the calendar year, but not age 4 by the camp start date, they can still participate in half day camps but must be accompanied by a caregiver for the duration of the program. When children arrive on site in the wrong level, our staff will do our best to accommodate them and move the kids into a more appropriate level or class. Regardless of the level we will always strive to provide additional support to challenge your child through the entirety of the program. If you have any concerns about this, be sure to chat with the on-site manager (in green) during your camp or call our office at 1.888.886.6464.
We run our programs with split classes, so we're often able to accommodate one level change. To ensure the best experience for all children, we don't overbook classes. That said, we'll do our best to switch your child accordingly; or if that isn't possible, we'll challenge your child within the group you registered them for.
Our sport program is two levels and based on age, so we can easily accommodate a move up or down.

Joyful activity is for everyone! We would love to have your child at camp. We take great pride in being an inclusive program. That said, we do not provide our instructors with training to work with children with special needs. To ensure all children in the class are receiving the necessary support, it is required that they attend with an aide. Please clearly indicate your child's history and applicable notes during your registration or give the office a call to explain your situation.
In order to ensure a safe and positive experience for all children, if a child requires special attention but attends without an aide, we'll request that a parent or caregiver participate in class with them. If this is not possible, we will ask the family to supply an aide for the child to attend in another week.
Children of varying abilities are invited to join a group or private lessons, depending on their specific needs and learning styles. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information about the options available.

Your child's health and safety are of paramount importance to us. Please let us know if your child has any medical concerns. Small or large, significant or possibly irrelevant, we want to know. It's always best to have more knowledge of everyone's history.
We also ask for an emergency phone number in the off-chance that we need to make a call.

For the summer of 2020, we created and implemented a robust and health safety plan that allowed us to operate at over 140 locations in North America. The result was we experienced zero cases of COVID transmission at any of our locations. For 2021, we will continue to implement these health and safety practices at all locations. Here are some of the ways we work to keep everyone at our programs healthy and safe:

We run rain or shine! That said, we take precautions to ensure the kids are safe given the weather.
Regular water breaks (10- to 20-min intervals) Regular shade breaks for snack time and for off-bike skill practice, like safety training. In the event of a heat advisory, we may move inside to do bike safety activities or group games designed to continue improving the biking safety knowledge and awareness of the children.
If it looks like it is going to rain, please send your child with the following:
There is no indoor riding space, so all children will be riding outside. In the event of a particularly bad storm, we may opt to set up bike safety activities, practice off-bike s kills, or other fun games undercover as a break from the weather.

Air quality issues have become an increasing concern for all of us. Unfortunately, we cannot know for certain when and how changing air quality will impact our camp operations. We understand that scheduling a camp for your child is a significant commitment, and you'd rather not have to make alternative plans last minute. We also understand that your child's safety is your number-one concern, as it is ours.
Please click here for the details of our Policy and Action Plan.
Biking specifications vary depending on your child's skill level. For all bikes, they should be structurally sound with no broken parts or wires that may impair safety. Check the brakes and the steering of your child's bike before coming to camp. Special tips for shopping for beginners (Level 1 & Level 2):
Older kids who know how to ride may want to explore a bike with gears, which is necessary if they wish to participate in Level 5 or Level 6 or our Pedalheads Trail Levels 2, 3, & 4.

Pedalheads does not have bike storage and recommends bringing your bike to camp and back home each day. If you decide to lock up your child's bike on or near our site, we cannot be held responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property.
