Starting in 1986, our Founder & CEO, Claudia Sjoberg, taught kids how to swim at one location in Vancouver using skills and concepts that put their enjoyment and growth at the centre of our programs.
Since then, Claudia has seen Pedalheads evolve from one program, a handful of kids and a kitchen full of her homemade rice krispie squares, to a multinational company that teaches tens of thousands of kids across more than 250 locations each year.
From comfortable warm water to small classes to engaging teaching methods and games, her success is built upon treating our littlest customers like the biggest deal.

We brought the magic to land and launched Pedalheads Bike camps in Vancouver, BC.
We hit the trails for the first time with Pedalheads Trail riding
We started growing across Canada, starting in Alberta and now servicing Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba
We flexed our competitive side with the launch of our annual kickball tournament
We headed across the border and expanded in the US, starting in Seattle and now servicing 7 states
We launched our annual strategic planning company-wide trip to reflect, plan and celebrate our team

Claudia's furry friend, Muffin, joined the team and is now a household name at the Pedalheads Headquarters in Vancouver, BC
We opened our first Pedalheads-owned and operated pool in West Vancouver, BC
We launched Pedalheads+ to provide no cost high quality camps and lessons to families with geographical, financial or other barriers
We've continued to grow and help kids build confidence at more than 250 locations across Canada and the US
